Multi-brand beauty and personal care retailer Tira has launched Korean skincare brand Skin1004 as a platform and in-store exclusive in India. The brand debuted with a range of clean beauty products made from its signature ingredient centella asiatica.
“K-beauty fans, we’ve got the biggest news for you,” announced Tira on Facebook. “Skin1004 India is here, and it’s available only on Tira. Their main ingredient, centella asiatica, is sourced from Madagascar, and all the formulas are made to be super soothing, extra-light, non-sticky and very comfortable to wear. Sounds like a win-win-win to us!”
Products in Skin1004’s maiden India drop include sunscreen, soothing cream, and cleansing oil among others. The ‘1004’ in the brand’s name sounds like ‘angel’ when read in Korean and the brand is often referred to as ‘Skin Angels’. As both Korean beauty and clean beauty is continuing to gain popularity in India, especially with younger consumers, Tira is keen to drive footfall with exclusives in the segment.
“India is an exciting new market for us as we see the Indian consumer becoming more receptive to K-beauty and appreciative of clean beauty brands,” said Skin1004’s owner Jake Kwak, India Retailing reported. “With partners like Tira Beauty, the platform on which we are exclusively launching, and Katalysst, which is helping us navigate our India entry, we are confident of the brand’s success and look forward to a warm welcome from Indian beauty enthusiasts.”
