Gen Z focused fashion tech startup Newme has launched its first store in the state of Telangana. Located in Hyderabad’s Sarath City Mall at Hitech City, the store measures 5,000 square feet and retails a wide range of women’s western wear.
Newme’s first store in the City of Nawabs opened its doors to shoppers on May 30 and offers 25% off its products for its first three days, the brand announced in a press release. The store was designed around the concept of ‘Girl Dome’ and its light pink ceiling and graphic logos make for a playful and youthful aesthetic. Newme’s signature chameleon logo is a focal point of the store along with a large 3D brand name sculpture.
“Hyderabad has always been close to our hearts with its vibrant culture and dynamic consumer demographic,” said Newme’s CEO and co-founder Sumit Jasoria at the store opening. “With data at the core of our business, we see a significant percentage of our online shoppers ordering from this city. To cater to it we have launched our biggest retail store in India, right in the heart of Hyderabad. Our exquisitely designed store is a visual treat, and we are confident that our customers, who have supported us online, will be thrilled to physically experience and explore our extensive collection that truly reflects their personalities and the brand of Newme.”
Sumit Jasoria, Vinod Naik, Shivam Tripathi, and Himanshu Chaudhary launched Newme in 2022. The label has also recently opened brick-and-mortar stores in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chandigarh and plans to focus on focus on strengthening its omni-channel presence over the coming 12 to 15 months. Newme next plans to open in Indore, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon Kolkata, Guwahati, and other Tier one and two cities with large format stores.
