Outdoor and adventure clothing and accessories business Wildcraft has launched a 3.5 lakh square foot warehouse in Sira in the state of Karnataka to expand its operations. The business has invested a total of Rs 80 crore in the project.
The new warehouse is a greenfield development, Wildcraft’s co-founder Gaurav Dublish told ET Retail. Along with its recent investment in the development, Wildcraft also plans to invest Rs 40 crore in bolstering its production capacity next to its new warehouse over the coming 18 to 36 months.
Wildcraft continues to expand its product offering and recently launched a new line of performance backpacks, the brand announced on Facebook. Wildcraft’s new Evo Daypack features numerous pockets for hiking essentials and an inbuilt rain cover to keep its contents dry. Other recent launches by the brand include the ‘Manaslu Cargo Shorts’ designed for mountain rambling and the ‘Utility Husky Jacket’ which aims to enable the wearer to traverse challenging terrain.
Wildcraft was founded in 1998 and counts over 200 exclusive brand outlets spread across India along with more than 5,000 points of sale in the country. The brand also retails online through its direct to customer store and on multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Myntra and Flipkart among others.
