NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Ashish Mishra, the main accused in the Lakhimpur violence case.
The top court said that Mishra will not be residing in Uttar Pradesh and NCT of Delhi during the interim bail period of eight weeks.
The court also said that it would examine Mishra’s conduct after eight weeks to decide on extension of bail. The accused has also been directed to surrender his passport in court.
