Ralph Lauren planning Fall 2024 collection show on April 29 in NYC

Ralph Lauren has revealed plans to stage his next show in New York, the latest catwalk display by the legendary American designer to be staged outside the city’s official runway season.

Laurent will present his Fall 2024 collection show on April 29. The location has not been announced so far.

Ralph’s most recent show was a stand-out moment in September 2023, when an armada of escalades ferried out scores of stars to the Brooklyn Navy Yard Friday night to witness a glittering collection inside a giant haute bohemian hangar on the East River. Jennifer Lopez turned up with two enormous bodyguards and two bearded buddy stylists. To sit between Julianne Moore and Diane Keaton, wearing a stove pipe hat worthy of Annie Hall. All perched between David and Ricky Lauren.

That show marked the first time he had shown on the official New York runway calendar since before the beginning of the pandemic. His two previous runway shows, were both off schedule.

Back in mid-October 2022, Lauren jetted to the West Coast for an epic display in the garden of the Huntingdon Library in Los Angeles. While in March 2023, Ralph invited guests to the Museum of Modern Arts for a Jazz Age re-creation show before faux-illuminated windows depicted a tall buildings skyline in black and white.

Though Lauren – who was born in the Bronx – dedicated his greatest tribute to New York back in September 2018 with a giant show at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, where Oprah Winfrey addressed possibly the most glittering array of stars at any American fashion show – Hillary Clinton, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg, joining designers like Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Thom Browne and Tommy Hilfiger.
