Comet expands product line, launches slides with EVA foam technology

Sneaker brand Comet has expanded its product offering and launched a new line of slides made using ‘EVA foam technology’. The colourful, gender neutral logo slides are designed to offer both comfort and support.

“Disrupting the world of new-age footwear in India, Comet uses innovative design and technology for all its product offerings,” announced the brand in a press release. “Zooming in on the Comet slides, which use cutting-edge EVA foam technology, they offer an unparalleled level of comfort and support. EVA form is typically reserved for high-performance running shoes, so when applied to slides, making them the game-changing slides that they are [sic].”
 
Slides in Comet’s new line feature the brand’s comet logo in a contrasting hue with colour combinations including blue and black, grey and black, two tone yellow, and neutral and grey among others. The slides are designed to support the foot when worn by using two different grades of EVA foam. On the outer side of the slide, the EVA foam is slightly harder to improve sturdiness and grip and, on the inside, it is softer to enable the foot to rest comfortably.
 
Entrepreneurs Utkarsh Gupta and Dishant Daryani launched Comet in 2023 as a direct to customer footwear brand. The business reported 50% month-on-month growth in its first five months of operations and describes itself as, “one of the fastest ever growing D2C and footwear companies in India”.
