The new themes make changes system-wide which means it affects all parts of the user interface including the app launcher, Files app, backgrounds of the Settings pages, self, etc. In addition to this, Google has also included new wallpapers that shift from dark and light and vice versa as per the theme. The updated dark theme can be found on the second page of Quick Settings.
Updated month and day placement in the shelf

Grouped notification popups
The update also brings some neat changes to the notifications. Earlier it used to appear on top of other notifications. Going forward, notifications from the same sender are now grouped together.
