Interior solutions business HomeLane has opened two new stores for its accessories, home textiles, and homeware brand Doowup in Hyderabad to cater to the urban centre’s shoppers. The new stores are located in Chanda Nagar and Gachibowli.
“Hyderabad, with its fast-growing urban landscape, is an ideal location for Doowup’s expansion,” said HomeLane’s vice president Subodh Jain, India Retailing reported. Doowup caters to urban middle class shoppers looking for modern and functional interior solutions which also prioritise style, according to the business’ Facebook page.
HomeLane has recently opened a number of Doowup stores across India. The brand launched a new store in Kolkata and another Jamshedpur last week. Both stores measure 700 square feet and the Kolkata store opened in partnership with LKG Homes while the Jamshedpur store opened with BNR Homes.
The business achieved the milestone of turning cash positive in September and October, 2023. HomeLane is confident that it can maintain its cash positive status and also grow in double digits in the 2024 financial year.
“Achieving cash profitability gives us the independence to think long-term and take decisions accordingly,” said HomeLane’s founders Srikanth Iyer and Tanuj Choudhry, India Retailing reported. “We are incredibly proud of our team’s relentless efforts and are thrilled to set our next milestone of reaching EBITDA profitability in FY24.”
